I started my new job yesterday as a 'sales assistant' at Greggs, I worked 10-2 and that meant working over lunch, obviously if you have ever been to greggs at lunch then you will know how busy it is! I started by just copying what the other staff put in the till on training mode before putting items through on normal mode! I was worried I'd mess up and over-charge people but it went really well and didn't make any mistakes!
I get £6.19 an hour which goes up to £6.38 after my training and Im also getting a pay-rise in April, 21 days holiday, uniform and 50% discount! Working there is NOT easy when you're on a diet and so I took my own lunch in, only working 4 hour shifts is good because I can have a lie-in and still have the rest of the afternoon to do what I like, the only downside is working in town. Obviously I get to meet new people but weekly pay + town centre = shopping! There is a bureau de change near my shop so I'll definitly be changing my pounds into Euros for my holiday in August!
