Liverpool

On Friday after work I got the train to Liverpool for the weekend to visit an old uni friend. Before I explain everything let me first say...I wish I'd stayed at home! Don't get me wrong, Liverpool is my favourite city (in the UK) and I miss living there but this weekend was total madness for all the wrong reasons. Let's call my friends B (girl) and D (boy). They have been together for 4 years and on-off a few times then, so they are living in a flat which I found out to be more like student accomodation. It was very clean but small, a single bed and 1 room for 3 of us. Communal shower and living area.

We were going to a dubstep night on the Friday night which went on until 5am, I didn't particularly want to go but seeing as they were going round Liverpool centre with me on the Saturday I didn't complain and got dressed up.
We got a taxi there and when we got in (after paying £6), the artist on was more like reggae and B & D promised me it would get heavier and have proper dubstep. We kept moving to the smoking shelter (they both smoke), and then D said he needed to get his bank card from home, so we walked back home from the club to their flat to get this bank card. On the way back I felt really ill and when we got inside I was sick and then went to curl up on the bed. B & D asked me if I was ok and I was ok just tired and a bit off-colour so decided to stay in whilst they went out. They said they would ring me when they needed to be let into the flat so I went to sleep and then they called me at 4am. When they got in we went to sleep (me in the single bed them on the floor).

The next day (Saturday), we got up and found out that B and I were going to her parents because it was her younger brothers birthday. Her parents don't like D so we went without him. We met her brother in town first and he lent her some money, next we went to get some food where B & D had a row in town and D walked off. By this point I was feeling really uncomfortable as I didn't want to take sides between them. B told me there was nothing to worry about and they would be alright later. I decided to get a tattoo whilst there so I got a REALLY cute jellyfish on my ankle, random I know but its super cute.
So we went to B's parents house and got back to Liverpool around 8pm, we started to get ready and although I was looking forward to going out I just couldnt get in the mood and had a feeling something was going to happen. I shrugged it off and we got into town for just after 10.30pm.

We went straight to Reflex bar (my favourite!) and saw my old friend DJ Alan who gave us a bottle of 'champagne' (bubbly lambrini), B & D were both skint and so I bought a bottle of wine for us to share, it didn't last long though! We were in Reflex until about midnight and then B stormed off and got her jacket. I asked D where she had gone but he just said he didn't know and would go and find out so I went carried on dancing (I was pretty drunk). After 10 minutes neither of them had come back so I went outside to find them and they were nowhere to be seen, I had run out of credit on my phone so couldn't call but I could text. I sent both of them about 10-15 texts asking them to ring me and where I was but didn't get a reply.
I texted my mum and put on facebook that I was stuck in Liverpool ALONE. I knew my way around but I was stuck and didn't know what to do. I made way back to my old student halls to borrow the phone when a pay-phone called my mobile but I couldnt hear anything, I texted B&D to let them know I was walking back to the flat. (At this point I was barefoot and it was raining!)

By total chance I had turned down the road where their flat is and saw them arguing half way down. Instead of being asked if I was ok, the first thing I heard was 'B smashed my phone up!' then B came over screaming at D. I was sick of their constant arguing and just wanted to go home. When in the flat I heard that B had stormed off and she had smashed up D's phone, her phone had run out of battery. I was FUMING but didnt let on that I was. I packed up my bag and decided to get the first train back in the morning.

The next day I just got a 'alright Vic, I'll see you later.' I've since had an apology off her but then been removed from her facebook friends. DISASTER weekend!
